Hey There

As a make up artist and stylist I love nothing more than making people feel good about themselves. A lot of people underestimate the power of makeup and beauty to help bring confidence and a feel good factor to your day, whether it is for a special occasion or just because you need a bit of 'me' time. Having worked in makeup and beauty for over 20 years you can't beat the feeling of putting a smile on someone's face with your work. I am passionate about products and ingredients and only use 100% cruelty free products and tools in my work. If you'd like to know a little bit more about me and my journey through the industry, please keep reading!

All About Me

I first began working in makeup in 2001after studying theatre and media in college, and fell into it a little by accident after applying makeup behind the scenes for short films and theatre performances. Throughout university studying Fashion and Brand Promotion, makeup played a big part in creating my project work as well as doing makeup for local performances, friends' nights out, and doing body painting at festivals and fetes throughout the summer.

I realised that the transformative power of makeup that I was using in my projects also had a profound affect on my day to day customers - I loved making people feel more confident, powerful and beautiful just through the art of makeup. After graduating in 2004 I trained in nails and beauty to add to my services, working on weddings and special occasions in Sussex.

After moving to Southampton in 2007 where I continued my training with a degree in makeup and styling, I continued to work on weddings and private events as well as for a local burlesque show, and photography studio.

I spent the next 9 years working for a mix of private customers, commercial clients and makeup brands including Bobbi Brown, MAC and Laura Geller. I loved makeup retail as much as my freelance work as it allowed me to meet so many new people and bring a bit of magic to their day - to me helping someone with a makeup look or finding the perfect product for a special occasion is just as important as a big show or photoshoot.

In 2016 I started working for Too Faced cosmetics and in 2017 I became one of their National Pro Artists and then Education Lead, winning an International Events Artist award in LA. I travelled across the UK and Europe hosting in store events, masterclasses and training teams and also worked on a number of brand events with global influencers. I was so lucky to meet and work with many amazing people.

When everything changed globally in 2020 it gave me the opportunity to go back to what I love to do - devoting my time to making other people look good and feel amazing! I like to think I treat every customer as I would a friend - making sure you have the best time, be it your wedding day, birthday, special event or just an every day night out.
